Mark Ferbers graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics in 1986. He attended the University of Manitoba Law school, obtained his bachelor of laws in 1989, and was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1990. After completing a contract working in the corporate legal department of Great West Life in Winnipeg, Mr. Ferbers moved to British Columbia and obtained his call to the British Columbia Bar in 1991. He joined the law firm Marinakis & Company in 1991, which became the partnership Marinakis & Ferbers in 1996, and merged with Lando & Company in 2003.
Mr. Ferbers has broad practice experience in real estate and general business law, including commercial leasing, finance, construction and development. Over the past several years a significant portion of Mr. Ferbers practice has also been focused on real estate, corporate, and commercial litigation including foreclosure and builder's liens, having appeared as counsel in the Supreme court of British Columbia, Court of Appeal, Federal Court of Canada, and various tribunals.
While presently focusing on commercial and real estate solicitors practice, Mr. Ferbers' litigation experience has provided him a wide range of knowledge and experience well suited to dealing with complex real estate and business issues.
Mr. Ferbers is a member of both the Canadian and Vancouver Bar associations, and is an active outdoor sporting participant in skiing, hiking and mountain biking.
